As a BMW 2002 & Z4 owner, driver, and BMW fanatic in general, I was exposed to Austin Healeys at the Alpine 500 vintage California rally this year. Being that purchasing books is cheaper than taking the plunge into purchasing cars, I grabbed two books on Austin Healeys. Two books on restoration, by accident. I really needed a guide on these fine cars.Fortunately for me, this book is an EXCELLENT historical reference. This is not a how to restore an Austin Healey, this is a what you need, by VIN, to take yours back to original.The author painstakingly dug through Austin Healey records to catalogue the changes within the series and between the years. Truly a monumental task. If only BMW had kept such detailed records between individual cars.In the BMW world there is Mobile Tradition. MT will send you the build date, original color, and dealership that originally sold your car if you send them a VIN. With this guide, you get so much more. You get what suspension goes with your VIN, what brakes, when the brakes became disc in the front, at what VIN this was changed, at what VIN this manufacturer took over making the starter, etc..Truly, this book is a wealth of knowledge for a person new to Austin Healeys and for someone looking to restore one to an original configuration. As a novice, the wealth of information can be overloading. However, the color pictures (some of Concours winners!) do make the nitty gritty details all that more enjoyable.I'm off to find myself an Austin Healey!

This is an example of a series about vintage British cars, by well-known expert Anders Ditlev Klausager. I started many years ago with the one of T-series MG's, as the proud owner of a 1950 TD.I learnt a lot and was able to improve the originality of my car. It is worth noting that the author points to non-original items and discusses controversial features and dates, so it is possible to use these books as a standard for restoration.I presently own five of them and plan to collect more from the series.

Not quite enough images to remake an entire car to concours originality, but you can get pretty far.I have a BN4, and have used dash, engine compartment, and trunk images as a guide to restoration for my particular car. Other cars are as well documented. The images are very nice and the text is clear.

Great book with alot of info. too bad it is out of print. Factory Original AH uses a lot of info in this book

Exhaustive and complete, my only gripe is that more detailed photos would have been appreciated. But as it stands, this is still a must-have book for the Healey fan.

I teach standardized tests full time and recommend these vocabulary flash cards to my students over all others. They're well put-together, both in terms of their physical qualities and durability, and the content therein. Coupled with the 500 Essential Words box set, it's one of the best investments to make for GRE studies.My only contention with the list is that, every so often, Manhattan seems to get a bit lazy with etymologies. I remember a few words that begin with "de-" where the prefix "de-" emphasizes a definition rather than giving its opposite. An example is the word "delimit", which means "to set boundaries." Rather than explaining that the "de-" is a root from Latinate languages, they just shrug it off and say "this prefix doesn't seem to do much", but it's a very common trait in English phrasings, as in the words "definite", "demarcate", "delineate", and so on, where the "de-" prefix is actually reinforcing an idea.

I used this set (along with the 500 essential words pack from Manhattan prep), and I felt like this set was most helpful. The cards are slightly larger than a normal index card size, and relatively sturdy. The words given in this pack were almost all new to me, as a senior in college with a high GPA, and I can honestly say that many of the words I memorized from this card pack did show up on the actual exam. I used this card pack pretty extensively for about two weeks before I took the exam, in addition to taking free practice exams, and scored above average.Out of all the study tools I used I do honesty feel like this set was the most helpful.

These were very helpful to study prior to the GRE. I studied this set of flashcards for a good 2 weeks before my exam and scored in the 98th percentile. Not all of the words on my exam came from this set, but a good handful did. It's also handy that they come hole-punched, with a ring to keep them together. I could throw the ring in my bag and not have to bother with lugging the whole box around, or trying to keep the cards together with a rubber band.I also purchased the 500 Essential Words: GRE Vocabulary Flash Cards (Manhattan Prep GRE Strategy Guides). I would say, if you're an English major, or someone who reads a lot of English Lit, it wouldn't hurt to get both, but focus more on this set, as they'll definitely be more of a challenge. You'll probably know most of the Essential words already.

Amazing. I went through the essential flash cards first, which weren't as challenging but did fill in some gaps in my vocabulary. If you want the easiest strategy to boost your verbal (and writing) scores, these cards are it. I memorized 10-15 cards a day, and reviewed all of them every week. It just takes a lot of diligence to memorize all of them and revisit them until the day of the test. Like I said, it's the easiest way to boost your verbal score since all you have to do is memorize, and you have complete control of how many vocab words you want to learn/memorize before the test. Not only that, including the vocab in this deck in your analytical writing essays will also help you increase your writing score. The cards also have similar words/synonyms that you can push yourself to memorize and group together as well. I'd like to say they were made with quality...the paper was thick and a little glossy, the text was easy to read. The little key ring that you can put in the perforation in the cards is extremely helpful...if I was on the go I'd take the cards everywhere with me...at a coffee shop, at the gym, etc. The key ring makes the cards mobile and accessible and keeps them from becoming a mess. I'd highly recommend if you're looking to increase both your verbal and writing scores.

The product itself is very good. But the one I bought has an obvious problem. The words start with A,B are missing, the words start with C,D are doubled, and since I bought both essential and advanced words, after I finish the essential one, it's too late to return this one....

I attest that many of the words from these cards appear on the test, so it is definitely worth learning them IF you have time and IF you know for sure that your program requires high verbal score. However, if you know that you only need good Math score, then do not waste time learning these words because it is time-consuming. These flash cards are available online on official website of Manhattan prep services when you register your other Manhattan prep guides. Therefore, there is no need to buy these cards, unless you like taking notes on the back of the cards.

Some people say you don't need to study vocab for the GRE Verbal section, but I disagree. When practicing, I found that what held me back the most in Verbal was vocabulary, even though I read and write frequently. So these cards seemed like the solution. I haven't taken the GRE yet but I've definitely seen an improvement while practicing.Edit: I took the GRE two days ago and my unofficial verbal score was 160. I stand by what I said: studying vocabulary is important. A lot of the words I studied appeared on the test.There were still some I didn't recognize, but that's my fault for not going through all of the words in the flash cards.

I recently took the GRE and after learning this set and the first 500 foundation set I knew nearly all the words on the test. This is coming from someone that didn't know many of the vocabulary words on the GRE when I started studying. I added the flash cards to an ANKI deck on my iPhone app. I thought that made remembering the words much easier. Good luck everyone!

I haven't rec'd my instant pot yet. I ordered the 3 quart size. I have been reading through the recipes and I wish I could communicate with the author because I am wondering if I can make these recipes in a 3 quart or if I need to cut the recipe in half?? Also, I have noticed that sometimes the recipe will state "cover with the lid and cook on manual high" and other times it will state "cover and cook on manual high pressure". Are these different settings?? Then I noticed on page 63 Spaghetti Squash Chicken Alfredo that it seems like the recipe is incomplete. If I follow it I will be serving raw chicken (??) I haven't finished reading all the recipes...I hope that was the only incomplete one but I wish the author would proof-read all the recipes and then send out corrections where they are needed to all us buyers.Besides that, the book is great. The recipes sound delicious and relatively easy to make. I guess the proof will be when I get my pot and start making them. Maybe I will send a follow up. :)Follow up....so I got my pot and thought I would try the first recipe (Coconut Porridge) Step 2 said to add the coconut milk but no mention of the 2 2/3 cups of water so I googled the recipe and sure enough, on step 2 you need to add both the milk and the water. I would suggest just getting your recipes online, because I now feel like I need to double check every recipe before I use it. :(

Incorrectly states to use Quick release on nearly all recioes, when quick release shoukd only be used for veggies and pasta. Natural release should be used for most recipes, especially meat, as QR dries out meats and foods.Format/layout is terrible. All recipes could have been written on a single page using different font, spacing and layout, instead of typing a few lines on a 2nd page. Pics would have been nice.

This cookbook told me in detail about the ketogenic diet, the history of its occurrence, its differences from the Atkins diet and its benefits. A large list of recipes adapted for instant pot. All recipes for nutritional composition fully comply with the ketogenic diet. Most of all I liked the dishes from chicken, seafood and vegetarian dishes.

This is an amazing keto resource. Serves as a pretty decent "how to" for keto without getting really in depth. I love how the recipes arent boring either. Lots of exotic tastes and ethnic recipes inside.

The Instant Pot is the only gadget that can replace a slow cooker, rice cooker, and stockpot, and this is the only cookbook with keto diet recipes for this device.

Simple ingredients, easy to follow, great for 2-3 people. Great price! Gives you the basics that used in experimenting with my own recipes.

I can't wait to make these meals! So many great options and keto diet tips. Very helpful. Learned so much.

I feel like I was slightly mislead about this book when I first started it, and so I started out this book with disappointment that just never went away as I kept reading. There is literally nothing to suggest that this book takes place in modern-day society, and yet it does. When I hear the words “viking”, my first thought is that this is going to be historical or set in a fantasy world drawn from history.Instead, I felt let down to realize that the books take place current day. The writing is addicting, and I did get hooked into the story, but there were other things that cropped up along the way that kept me from fully enjoying this book as much as I wanted to.This story is about Tess. She believed that she was an orphan and had been placed in foster homes as a child. She’s spent her whole life on the run, starting anew, and trusting no one but herself. When an ex-boyfriend (and old childhood friend she met while in foster care) shows up one day and essentially kidnaps her and takes her to a family she’s never known, her entire world changes.This is where the backstory gets a bit confusing. It’s one of those moments where you feel like a lot is explained in the book, and at the same time, feel like nothing is explained. There are mysterious children abduction involved, psychic abilities, and a nobody discovering she’s the heir and needs to learn how to be Queen with the help of two very fine gentlemen. It’s a very riveting premise that promises a MFM ménage in this book, but it just feels like a lot of the backstory is sacrificed for sex scenes.Honestly, I can take or leave sex scenes in romance books. For me, it’s more about getting to know the characters and getting a sense of who they are and learning the world-building. There are time jumps and explanations for things that get shrugged off and we, as the reader just has to accept them. I found it hard to get a real grasp on all the characters, and why they do what they do. One of Tess’s suitors is her childhood friend (and ex) called Harvey. Her other suitor is a man called Oliver. Everything is extremely rushed, and Tess is somehow immediately agreeing with everything her family is telling her. She doesn’t know them, and during her kidnapping to bring her in, she was drugged.Everything is brushed aside, and we’re expected to believe that everything’s perfect. Because the main point of the story is Tess getting together with Harvey and Ollie. It’s very disappointing. The story is intriguing, but the writing choices just don’t work for me. The secondary characters are interesting, and even with the fact that book two stars Tess, Harvey, and Ollie again, and this time with a MMF storyline…it’s not enough to make me want to read a second book.

For reasons still unknown by me, I have been avoiding menage romance. I will probably still be wary of it in the future, but I'm just going to write it off as personal preference and keep it moving. But THIS one? It was AMAZING.I was sucked in from the very beginning. The author's world building is pretty amazing. It goes back and forth from "visions" in the past to modern-day. Contessa is a Viking queen with psychic (and other) abilities. She's had a hard life, which has unwittingly prepared her to rule over and protect her small but resilient people. The men she loves, Ollie and Harvey, are so swoony! Each loves her fiercely, and wants to protect her, but also realize her full potential. These big, strapping, powerful men willingly come to heel, and it's breathtaking to read.The Sex is amazing, by the way. I think part of my skepticism (personal bias, let me just say that) regarding menage stories is that it will essentially be porn without plot. Um...foot, meet mouth. Because this author did what I didn't think was possible: she convinced me that three people could sustain a healthy, faithful, sexy, romantic relationship. The men are reluctant, but come to see how they are better as three (which actually is a huge plot point I won't spoil any further).There is some suspense, lots of steam, lovely romance, action...and my favorite bit: Women rule this world.The Viking Queen's Men is the first paranormal romance I've read in years, and I'm definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

The Viking Queen's Men is an M/F/M romance that I grabbed as a freebie the other day. I kept seeing people raving about this on romance Twitter so I started reading it right away since I'm still in the mood for fantasy romance. The main character in the book is a queen of a psychic group of people descended from Vikings. She was stolen from her family as a child and the story starts with her return to the community. She needs a mate to help balance her abilities. What came as a surprise to everyone involved was she had two fated mates instead of just one. Why have a long triangle when you can have a menage instead?😂👌🏼 It had an interesting premise but overall, it was a so-so read for me. Both the worldbuilding and character development fell short for me. Glad I gave this a try but not planning to read the rest of the series.

I wish I could give this four stars, because I really like the story and where it looks like the series is headed, but there are too many editing errors. I started highlighting all of the errors I came across, which will probably mess up some sort of Kindle stats, for which I apologize. Also, this author (and her editors) really need to learn when to use "whom". (Hint: Not as often as she thinks.)I like the story, especially how Tess didn't immediately take to her new role; she has believable stumbles along the way. I also really liked how she dealt with Harvey and Ollie.I want to read more of this series so that I can find out what happens with these three, and what happens with the conflict that was introduced at the end of the book. I really hope the editing issues are taken care of in later books in the series. If anyone can tell me that, I'd love to hear about it in a comment.If you're not bothered by editing issues, and like reading hot sex, of both the m/f and m/f/m variety, plus a bit of the paranormal go grab this. You won't be sorry.

I love everything about this new book from author Joyce Meyer. The text is organized into short paragraphs, one paragraph per page, with easy to understand sentences. One page has an inspirational quote and the opposite page has the piece of scripture the inspiration references. This organization is sufficient for this book. Scripture is taken from the Amplified Bible and most pages have a calming flower drawing like you see on the cover.My favorite inspiration is: God created us to please Him, which sets us free from the need to please people. Be a God-pleaser, not a people-pleaser.(p.24) The scripture that goes along with that inspiration is: “Am I now trying to win the favor and approval of men, or of God? Or am I seeking to please someone? I love this little book.When you open it up, you will have both pages to focus on. One side is a quote, that you may or may not be familiar with. On the other side is the translated word from the Bible that connects to the quote opposite. It leaves you pondering both quotes and realizing the connection.Joyce Meyer is a great bible teacher in how she can help a reader connect to what she is talking about. I find her books are always an inspiration for me to do better and be better as a person. This one is no different, although quite different.Fans will love it, and people who haven't read anything of hers before, this is a perfect place to start.

I have read many books by Joyce Meyer, and I always find her inspirational, so I really like this book. It’s a short book (easily portable, too!) filled with quotes from Meyer, and each quote is linked to a corresponding Bible verse. There’s one quote per page, and the adjacent page has the verse behind the quote. The illustrations are a nice addition to the verses and quotes, and they match the cover, as well. Scripture verses are primarily from the Amplified Bible, though a few other translations (NIV, NLT, and NKJV) are used. The book is to the point, but it also gives the reader a lot to ponder. So much positivity in this little book!It was hard to narrow them down, but here are a few of my favorite quotes:• “It isn’t what other people think of us that hurts us—it’s what we think of ourselves.”• “Everyone wants to be an overcomer but nobody wants to have anything to overcome. You can’t have a testimony without a test!”• “Don’t get your ‘who’ confused with your ‘do.’ Your true value is found when you fully understand who you are in Christ.”• “God has given us an antidote for fear: When fear knocks on your door, send faith to answer.”• “Courage is doing what you know you should do even though you feel afraid. Short, practical Godly wisdom is so helpful to guide our days. 100 Inspirational quotes and the Life Changing Scriptures Behind them from Joyce Meyer is full of wisdom and guidance based on Scripture for living each day in a positive, godly way. Not only is it full of solid Biblical advice, but this book is beautiful inside and out. Nearly all of the quotes and verses in the book are decorated with beautiful watercolor flower designs like the front cover.Three of my favorite quotes:Be a God-pleaser, not a people-pleaser. (Based on Galatians 1:10)God is a giver, and when we give unselfishly, we are more like Him than at any other time in our lives. (Based on John 13:34)There's a difference between being busy and being fruitful, Are you busy are fruitful? (Based on Matthew 7:17-18)I like so many of these quotes and the Scriptures alongside them to meditate on that it was hard to pick three. One Hundred Inspirational Quotes from Joyce Meyer would make a great gift book for someone in the hospital, struggling with some personal challenges or any other occasion where someone needs uplifted. I read this book in one sitting for the purposes of this review, but it would be a good book to just meditate on one quote and verse per day.
