One of the great masterpieces of British literature with illustrations that enhance the poem beautifully. This is the 1805 edition, probably the best, though the 1799 edition, which is available on audible.com narrated wonderfully, is also fine. I read both, a chapter at a time. The book's illustrations--a great many on almost every page, most in color, by the best British painters--make this edition a pure joy to read and look at. And amazingly cheap for this copious a volume.

A really handsome volume, especially remarkable at this affordable price. The book is brilliantly edited and introduced, beautifully printed and illustrated. All one needs to know about this stunning edition of the 1805 PRELUDE is available in Helen Vendler's recent review in the New York Review of Books.In her long lifetime of insightful essays, this is one of her best in recent years.

I was so glad to get this book at a good price. I look forward to reading it next spring. What a privilege to have such an edition of such a work. Many thanks to the bookseller.

I ordered this book for a class and have not started reading it yet. But it is a gorgeous, coffee table worthy book. The reproductions of art, depicting largely scenes of natural world, are fabulous. The type is clearly and beautiful. Wonderful addition to my permanent library.
